811) Octane. I have no idea what is going on in this movie. Obviously they are some kind of cult, but what's up with the blood? Did they think they are vampires? Were they vampires? How did that dude know all about their memories? This just made no sense whatsoever. HATE.

811 down, 189 to go.

I'm updating now 'cause OSU is leading Texas 21-9 and I'm too excited about the prospect of Bama moving up to #3 to concentrate on a movie right now.

Update: Damn it! Still no help for Bama! But on the plus side, Spurrier gets his first SEC scalp, and he couldn't have taken it from a better guy.

What a lovely afternoon. I moved Sarah this morning and got back just in time to listen to Eli and Snake give me the play by play. At halftime I started dozing and kept it right up through the second half, waking up periodically and finding out we'd scored again. We won, I'm rested, and that makes me happy. Roll Tide.

Nothing tonight. I went and helped Sarah pack and am going to be moving her tomorrow. Van and Sara will be here for the weekend and I'm crossing my fingers that Graffiti Bridge gets here from Netflix so we can watch it tomorrow night. Otherwise, it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n roll.

809) Spellbound. Completely fascinating. The girl that won and the girl from Connecticut had the most normal of the families, but everyone else's were freaks! And exactly how long is it before we read about Ted going on a rampage? That kid freaked me out. Just goes to show that all the best stories are true.

810) The Hazing. Brook Burke in a slutty genie costume. I'm only a man!

810 down, 190 to go.

- Why am I so in love with this woman? I too think that anyone else really would find her bitchcakes crazy, yet I am so utterly charmed by her and my internet crush grows daily. In other insane crush news, I was behind the Traci Lords Look-A-Like coming home today. Since we've moved building I haven't actually seen her in months, and I gave more than a passing thought to "accidentally" tapping her car so I'd have an excuse to get her number. I have to leave the house more.

- No help for the Tide tonight, and I suddenly find myself a Miami fan.

807) Duck You Sucker. Where to begin? As much as I want to appreciate Leone, I think he's terribly overrated. Don't get me wrong, A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More deserve every ounce of praise they ever receive. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is also a good western, but it started Leone down the path of telling 30 minute stories in over 2 hours and brought us Once Upon a Time in the West, which would be a much better movie if it weren't so insufferably long. And then he just gets weird. This and My Name is Nobody are both ridiculously long and have storylines that are so over the top with metaphor that they stop making sense at times. And let's not forget Once Upon a Time in America, the epitome of a bloated vanity project. So yeah, as much as it pains me to do so, I'm giving him the thumbs down. Sorry.

808) Bewitched. Steve Carell's cameo as Uncle Arthur was pretty funny and Nicole Kidman was so adorably spazzy that the only thing that could make me love her more is a hula dance or if she sang Brass in Pocket it to me like Scarlett Johansson in Lost in Translation. Other than that, blech.

805) All the Fine Young Cannibals. Oh sweet mama, Robert Wagner's got those deep elem blues...

806) Tart. Messed UP. Seriously. And not even in a good way. It's like Kids, all "look, kids doing scandalous stuff!", except only half-heartedly so.

806 down, 194 to go.

- Dear God, if Madeleine Albright ever shows up in my dreams I'll never sleep again.

- Just another bit of candy assed scheduling from the SEC...

804) The Big Empty. Well I'll be...If you make Darryl Hannah look NOTHING like Darryl Hannah, she can be pretty hot.

804 down, 196 to go.

- I was about half way through All the Fine Young Cannibals when Charity came over and we wound up just hanging out and talking for a few hours. It was fun, but these girls are getting to be a serious impediment. I'm going to have to go full on hermit here soon.

800) Gunmen from Laredo. Excellent revenge western. I wasn't in the mood to watch anything today but this set me straight. I love Encore Westerns.

801) Stay. I ignored my own rule about avoiding movies where the lines between reality and fantasy are blurred, but it had Naomi Watts and Bob Hoskins and it really wasn't that bad except that I could totally tell what was coming and the ending was a let down (though there really is no possible way to end a movie like this without it being a let down). The direction was incredible though and the movie was a joy to look at, so there is that.

802) Domino. Now that's more like it! When I went into the theater there were only about five other people and by the end everyone had walked out but me and another person, but I was cracking up the whole time. There were a ton of funny touches, the action was well done, and the crazy MTV editing made it a lot of fun to watch. Plus, Keira Knightley. Hot.

803) The Man With the Golden Arm. This was some heavy shit. Excellent.

803 down, 197 to go.
